Highlights from the Launch of the "AI for Decision-Makers in Advanced Manufacturing" Program

On May 22, 2025, we officially launched AI for Decision-Makers in Advanced Manufacturing, a program designed to help Canadian decision-makers navigate the fast-moving world of exponential technologies like AI.

Hosted by Bold New Edge, the event brought together manufacturing leaders, innovation advocates, government-funded agencies, and workforce development partners to explore how AI can drive productivity and transform industry practices.

What made the event stand out?

A Speed Panel That Sparked Action

Rather than a traditional presentation, the event featured a speed-panel format where consortium members shared perspectives on the future of AI in Canada’s manufacturing sector.

From leadership training to technical integration and workforce upskilling, the conversation was rich and grounded in real-world action. One moment stood out:

"How can we help?" — a spontaneous question from the audience, showing a strong appetite for collective progress. The question was followed by a good number of other guests who also shared the enthusiasm offering their support.
